Interestingly for us, vitamin B and protein, which are abundant in fenugreek seeds, are great for nourishing hair.

Fenugreek Oil

Fenugreek oil is an age old remedy used in the subcontinent for hair growth. Here is how you can make it:

Take 3 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds, 100 ml of coconut oil, and 100 ml of mustard oil. Put the seeds in a clear glass bottle and pour the oils over it. Let this oil sit in direct sunlight for 20 to 30 days. Your oil is ready. Use this oil thrice a week, overnight, to make hair grow faster.

Fenugreek Paste

Boil 1 tablespoon of fenugreek seeds in 1.5 cups up water until half of the water remains. Leave this water overnight. Next day, blend the seeds and water to get a paste. Apply this paste on your hair 1 hour before taking a shower. It will stop hair fall, and make your hair voluminous.

Mustard Seeds

Mustard seeds contain magnesium, calcium, potassium, and phosphorous. These minerals are great for hair health. If you are looking for convenience, go for mustard oil instead of the mustard seeds. Personally, I doubt the purity of any oil available in the market. That is why I like to make my own hair and skin masks. If you have access to sources and brand that sell 100 % natural oil, then it’s great!

How To Use Mustad Seeds For Hair Growth

Mustard Seeds Hair Mask

Take 1 tablespoon mustard seeds powder. Pour 1/4 cups of warm water on it. Juice one onion. Blend the mustard seeds, onion juice, and 1 tablespoon of honey to get a paste. Apply this paste on your hair for 30 minutes before washing it off. This mask will strengthen your hair and prevent hair fall.

Mustard Seeds and Yogurt Hair Mask

Mix 2 tablespoons of mustard seeds powder and four tablespoons of yogurt. You can also use a blender to blend the paste. Apply it on your hair for 20 minutes before washing off. This mask will make your hair smooth and silky.

Black Cumin Seed Or Kalonji

Black cumin has many health benefits. It can cure many diseases. It is anti-inflammatory and soothing. Black seeds oil is used for hair growth. Black seed oil can also be used for graying hair.

Black Seed For Hair Loss

Take two handfuls of kalonji seeds. Boil them for 10 minutes. Let the mixture cool down. Strain the seeds. Pour the water in a jar. Add some drops of olive oil. Massage this mixture on your head thrice a week. Let it stay for an hour and then wash it off. You can refrigerate this mixture for up to two weeks.

Flax seeds have gained a lot of popularity over the years for their nutritional benefits. They are a rich source of dietary fiber, micronutrients, manganese, and essential fatty acids. Flax seeds are abundant in vitamin E which is great for graying hair. Use flax seeds regularly to prevent hair loss and dandruff.

Flax Seeds Gel

Take a quarter cup of flax seeds. Boil it along with 2 cups of water till it thickens. Add a tablespoon of lemon to it. Stir the mixture. Turn off the heat once your mixture resembles a gel. You can use this gel to style your hair or for hair growth.

Sesame Seeds

Sesame seeds are also used a lot in Asian dishes. They are full of vitamins, oils, calcium, iron, copper, zinc, fiber, vitamin B6, folate, and iron. All these nutrients are great for hair nourishment. Sesame seeds contain fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6 which are great for hair growth. They are also good for prevention of scalp problems like itchy scalp. Sesame also has hair darkening properties so it’s great for you if you are a victim of premature whitening of hair.
